So Sick I Want To Die !

When I get up in the morning I am so sick I feel like I am going to die. The nausea is so profound and then there are about 50 other disabling symptoms. I have been checked and tested for everything.

Sometimes it gets a tiny bit better late in the day but for the past 6 weeks I am in bed staring at the ceiling and wanting to die all day and most of the night.

Can this really be anxiety??

I am so sorry that you are having such a rough go of it . . . I wish that there were something that I could say to make it better for you, but the best that I can do is to tell you what you already know . . . you have to hang in there . . .as difficulty as this may be, perhaps you need to force yourself out of bed so you are not just staring at the ceiling and replaying your situation . . . do you think that you could find one of your symptoms and just focus on managing it? It does not need to be a big symptom, something that you feel that you could manage if just for 5 minutes every hour and not try to manage all 50 all the time? If you have been checked and tested for everything and it all comes back fine, well, I could well see that all of these symptoms are anxiety related . . . sometimes when we want to find a physical cause to our anxiety because a physical cause is a bit more comforting than a mental one, as we get checked for the symptom and it points back to anxiety, then sometimes we create other physical symptoms in our quest to find a physical cause so, yes, your symptoms can be anxiety related . . . .please, though, keep in touch and try just to manage one symptom even for 1 minute every hour . . . . take care, kc

All One what a nightmare you are living, I have felt the same way, I guess all of us has at one time or another, know that you are not alone, know people are praying for you, know that your are in fact ok, and please don't give up 5 minutes before the miracle happens......God Bless   Joey M

I have spent many nights doing the same thing thinking of ways to end my life. I am better now thanks to meds but I still have days where I think of ending it all. Just hang in there don't give up and remember hell is much worse than what you are going through.

Here is where I am at on this. I feel the same way, 24/7.

So please don't bring religion into it. For people like myself who are agnostic, we cannot rely on religion to stop yourself from ending our life, like most people do.

If op is the same, just know you're not alone. Right now its 10:11 pm and I am feeling the same way. Night time is worse.

I only said something about religion because of the op's name all1sprit, thinking they are religious it plays a huge part in what gets me through the hard days. It was not meant to offend anyone.

Hi,

For my own well-being, I feel that I have to address this issue.

Sometimes when we have anxiety, we react, but I feel that we have to respect everyone's offering in the posts even if we do not hold the same belief systems.

It is true that many people are not "religious" in either their belief system or following an established religion, but there are as many people who do follow a religion or have their own personal belief system for spirituality.

For me, it is important that, as a group, we all come to this forum to seek support, information, or just someone to lean on. We need to take from each posting what helps us and not react negatively just because someone chooses to mention religion. For many, formal or informal religious belief systems are a source of comfort and support; for others, not in the same way as meds are an important strategy for some whereas others refuse them. It is a personal choice.

I feel that many of us with anxiety have to deal with barriers in our day-to-day life including people criticizing us for our symptoms of anxiety. I do not feel that this forum should be anything other than a welcoming and open place where we are free to suggest strategies including those related to religion. Each of us is free to take from the postings we want or need without insisting that others follow our particular beliefs. So, I hope that this discussion group can continue to allow the free exchange of ideas without becoming a place that provokes anxiety because we feel that we may be judged because we do not all share the same ideals. If we are seeking acceptance, let's start with ourselves.
