I came across this and it struck a chord this morning. Hopefully it stays with me:

yep all worry does is wear you out.  doesn't change a BLASTED thing.     Even IF what you worried about becomes reality, all the worry beforehand did was take joy from you life.


so even though we know that,  it is hard to put the truth of the quote into practice.

Saw a great phrase in someone else's post:

Don't jump to conclusions!

Is this HA in a nutshell? If our bodies were being arrested, so much of the evidence against us seems circumstantial, yet we are ready to convict without a trial.

How's that for an analogy?

Not bad.  I like to think of it as confirmation bias -- people with HA credit that evidence which confirms their fear and reject evidence that doesn't.
