twitching and all other symptoms subside once the disorder is addressed and one uses all sorts of tools to get on the healing path.  Over time the body becomes less reactive.   You seem to still be monitoring your bodily sensations.  this means your mind/body are still in reactive mode.

meds are but one tool that a person can use to get on a healing path and are best used, imo, in conjunction with therapy and other proactive tools.  depending solely on medication to fix the disorder will almost certainly be a let down.  Besides taking a pill what other tools are you using daily or weekly (if you are in therapy) to address your thought disorder?   A body reacts to stress. What are you doing daily to reduce your stress?  SSRIs don't fix stress.  If you have a lot going on in your life, taking a medication won't solve those issues (ie financial issues, parenting issues, relationship issues, busy life issues,....)

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.
