Anxiety about blood clots, and having pain PLEASE help!!
« on: January 03, 2013, 10:41:59 PM »
So since I came home on a long trip after Christmas my left leg is bothering me. If hurts in various places, and goes away and comes back. I have a slight fear of blood clots, but have worked through it a lot. I'm trying to convince myself it's not a clot, as I've gone dancing, worked out and run around with my three year old, and like I said the pain comes and goes. It's not red or swollen. So I know that's good. It's just an incredibly annoying pain that moves in my calf. I've also had negative ultrasounds and d dimers as well as physical exams. And the pain still rears its ugly head every so often. Should I be concerned? Should I see my doctor?

ok Lie down and let someone push your foot up towards you knee. Keep let straight this is what we do to check for blood clots in the legs if their is no pain it most likely you do not have one. When I have an admit one of the first things I check for and bed patients. So good luck

Thanks. I hadn't husband push my foot up and there was no pain. What could this be? I'm still paranoid it's a clot. But like I said I have been dancing and other various workouts, and I'm still alive.

I posted about a week or so ago about having an off feeling in my foot. I started having aches in said foot especially after walking around the mall a while in shoes with little support. Then I remembered how stressed I've been and now the aches have spread to my other foot and leg. I think we should just keep going in our normal lives. If we can still power through it and do what we normally do, it must not be anything too serious. :)

have faith in your doc and test. A clot travels, as much as you have been doing it would have already moved to your heart or lungs. This is what I would do, first i am not a doc nor claim to be, but I would take Ibuprophen for a couple of days one to two ever 4 hours for a couple of days it should help. I hope this helped.
