stomache flu?
« on: January 03, 2013, 08:46:56 PM »
Today has been a bad day for me, so has yesterday. I was okay for a while.. but yesterday it came back. At around 8 I was anxious because the sensation somethings wrong with my heart came back. I didn't feel so well, had palpitations, ticklish, tight throat. And I was really heavy. Today, I awake and getting myself out of bed was like lifting 200 pounds off the pillow. I felt heavy. My legs are shaking, when I get up to walk my body is heavy and I sway from back to forth like I'm drunk.

Earlier I was on the computer until I felt this extreme stomach pain. My stomach wanted to explode from pain & pressure I thought I was going to pass out. It went on for a while, and I got up to go to the bathroom. Half of my stool was diarrhea, the other half wasn't but it wasn't normal stool. Plus the toilet water turned green from the stool.. I have no idea why.

What in the world is going on.. yesterday I felt so strange mentally as well. I felt like I was going insane, all at once I forgot where I was who I was who everyone else was and I started saying random things to assure myself I knew.. It was so weird I didn't do anything to bring that on it's just so unfair. After that event I got my conscious back but my mind just felt so different I couldn't concentrate I felt lost I felt like I didn't know what was going on unless I like educated myself like 'that's a chair, that's my brother'. I wasn't aware and on track like 2 days ago and my brain felt woozy.. it's just so hard to explain and so hard to handle..

Green means bile, which means your food is passing through your guts too fast. That can happen as a result of stress. Stress activates the sympathetic nervous system, while the parasympathetic nervous system is needed to digest food. Two conflicting things. This creates stomach issues. You need to work on calming down.

I'm only 18 years old. I don't think I'd be stressed to the point where I can change the toilet water from white to green. My dad is 54. My mom is 43. They're really stressed, due to many things. But they never had this..

The green stool can also be from an intestinal infection - something that probably won't last more than a few days while it corrects itself.  And yes, stress can contribute to this.  I've had it several times in my life - both my boys had it when they were younger (then it was definitely not stress related LOL).  Try not to focus on it so much.

My stool wasn't green, it was diarreahish. It's the toilet water that turned green, Idk why. & no it's not pee. The stomach pain really concerned me also. It was very severe and I didn't eat anything I don't normally eat.

I had gastroenteritis a couple weeks back, and it was pretty bad but didn't last but a couple days, well the main symptoms didn't last more than that but I think some of them might of stuck around. Gastroenteritis is what must people call the stomach flu even though it isn't a type of flu. My diarreah was greenish too when I was in the worst part of it.

Children as young as 3 can experience such traumatic events that can affect their bodies. Because you are young does not make you immune to the effects of stress and psychological-physiological feedback loops. You are human, and your body will respond to high levels of stress. Your adrenal glands work extra hard and you pump out tons of stress hormones, which are just sooo bad for your body.
Just because your parents respond differently to stress than you does not mean that it is impossible for your reaction to be different. You described a very intense panic episode. Do your parents have these episodes, or is it more chronic, every day kinda stress?

Even so, if you had a stomach bug or food poisoning, you'll survive. I had such a bad case of food poisoning I ended up in the ER hallucinating with a fever of 42 degrees C, and had to have an IV. I puked and had explosive green diarrhea for 3 days and went to the toilet 2x every hour to empty close to half a litre of fluid out of my bowels.
I survived. Never felt a single consequence of it later, either. Didn't damage my health.
