Hi,

Welcome to the group . . . congratulations on getting through TB and with normal xrays and check ups from your doctor, it sounds as if you are okay physically . . . I am not a professional but it does seem as if your symptoms are related to anxiety because of the experience that you had with your health. Your anxiety may be producing these symptoms because your experience with the TB is triggering them. My suggestion would be, if this is possible, is to seek a referral to a therapist to help you to identify the trigger (e.g. your TB issue) that is causing your anxiety which seems to be health-related (perhaps you are reliving your TB scare which makes the symptoms that you did have with TB reappear even though there is no health issue) and to help you to develop management techniques for your anxiety . . . Your best bet is a combination of your medical doctor to ensure your physical health and a therapist to help you heal your mental health. But, if your physical health is fine, then it does seem as if you are having an anxiety-based reaction . . .take care, and when you can, let us know how you are doing . . .KC

In my opinion, and I am neither a medical professional or a therapist, but if all your physical tests come back that you are fine, then yes I would strongly be leaning that you had a panic attack . . .but, you really do need to consult with a professional . . . by the way, unless you have a physical issue (which you don't based on what you say), then you will breathe . . . it is an automatic response . . . it seems as if the anxiety is provoking memories of your run in with TB and conjuring up symptoms that relate to your breathing . . . consider some professional help but in any case let us know how you are doing . . .take care, KC

Anxiety causes more false trips to the ER than any other mental health issue. I have been to the hospital twice because I thought I was having a heart attack, when in the end it was only anxiety and perfectly harmless. I can say that now, but I remember in the midst of it it was very frightening. So hang in there.
My best advice is to accept that your mind is going to throw all kinds of scary scenarios and negative judgments at you, and understand that just because your mind says all this stuff doesn't mean that you have to believe it.
All of our minds work like this, in a negative doom and gloom way, and if we are having anxiety symptoms these thoughts just make the anxiety worse.
Hope that helps!

I feel the same too, almost like something is glued to the back of your throught where your nose connects.

I went to the ER and had X-Rays but nothing came up. Maybe it is just winter time?
