First time posting
« on: January 03, 2013, 09:40:50 AM »
Hi a little info before i get started. I'm at 24 year old, healthy, minus my severe panic disorder and Health anxiety, I have two sons and a fiance. I've had anxiety ever since i could remember. Only, this last year it has gotten a lot worse. It all started one night where i got a crazy random headache in my temple and i googled it. Next thing i know, i have a brain tumor. I've been to my GP who says that it's all my anxiety and i have no symptoms at all of a brain tumor, did a neurological exam and passed with flying colors. I've been to my Optometrist at least 4 times the last 10 months, and have had my eyes dialated twice. She also says i have no symptoms of having this and that she would be able to spot one. I've never had a MRI/CT scan, but now I'm almost wondering if i should? I'm always dizzy, lightheaded, shakey, I have a million eye floaters, I feel like I'm always off balance, I have almost daily headaches. I start counseling next week, so that's my first step. But, I just wondered if there was anyone else out there who has these same symptoms as me?? Thank you.

Welcome to anxioetyzone. I have had floaters for many years and they can be bothersome. If your
eyes have been dilated, odds are you are fine. Your other symptoms could well be attributed to
stress and anxiety.

I'm offbalance often and shaky.. I was convinced I have Parkinson's... Now it's still in the back of my mind but I went to the DR and he thinks all of my symptoms are due to a Magnesium Deficiency.. Doctors dont check for that in normal blood work though, so maybe it's worth asking to get your electrolytes checked.. I'm trying to just accept the fact I'm just anxious and stressed and my body just has excess adrenaline and that combined with my always worrying explains all of my symptoms, plus the magnesium deficiency if it comes back like that tomorrow. I had low potassium and he said often times you will see both low together. But I'm also pregnant and he said that could be why!

Same here. . . headaches every day, dizzy, vertigo, shaky, floaters, body aches. I've finally come to terms with the fact that it's all anxiety related. As you, I have had every test under the sun. An MRI wouldn't hurt, it would just reassure you that you are indeed, fine. Good luck!
