I'm sure by now everyone here knows my story. It is now 77 days post possible exposure. Over the last couple weeks I have nearly completely forgotten about the rabies situation that started back in October.

That was until 3 days ago.

I woke up Monday feeling extremely fatigued and had bad post nasal drip leading to a slightly irriated throat - no other symptoms. I figured it was because I had been in and out of the cold weather for the previous couple days.

Tuesday the post nasal drip had lessened but I was still rather tired and just felt overall like crap.

Now here it is Wednesday, after sleeping 10 hours last night I am still so fatigued I cannot get off the couch. The post nasal drip is still mildly here but I overall just feel sick and diseased. I've been googling again all day and my rabies fears are back full force. I was doing so good, for once I was finally beginning to believe that the bat incident didn't happen - now I feel like I am right back to where I started.

People who make the CHOICE to keep googling get what they are looking for -- fear.  Apparently you did not listen to what so many people told you before?

The anxiety came before the googling. Googling is not the root of all evil in some cases.

I know from personal experience it does nothing but further the anxiety though.

Sounds like the flu or a cold. I see a lot of people from the States with it in chat

Why are you doing it?  What are you looking for?  You have a cold.

I wasn't looking for anything in particular while googling. Just looking to see if what I've been experiencing could be the beginning stages of rabies.

And you found something to validate your fears?

*sigh* No, only than the fatigue and sore throat. I just wish my mind would stop racing. I just feel like this is a major set back for me. Things were really beginning to look up for me and now here I am again, in panic and fear.

Your fear at this point is just so far beyond rational it is hard to know what to say to you.  It's 77 days since your imagined event.  You obviously don't have rabies.  If you cannot get through to yourself, you need help beyond what we can offer here.

I think it is so far beyond rational to think that just because YOU can't help me, that no one else can. Just because you are dealing with a situation you've never dealt with before doesn't mean that the situation is hopeless. You are one (1) person on a website of probably thousands. I cannot be the ONLY person on Anxiety Zone who has ever gone through this.

As for 77 days - perhaps if you would read even the most basic of websites regarding rabies, symptoms generally start within 30-120 days. Some as low as 6 days, others as high as years.

In closing, you have no obligation to respond to any of my posts on Anxiety Zone - unless you are getting paid per post. If not, then simply just ignore me.

I would be absolutely delighted if someone here could help you, but it seems despite lengthy prior discussions on prior posts, where many knowledgeable people have pitched in, nobody can talk you down off your fear.  This has nothing at all to do with me.  I was only suggesting that perhaps at this point you need professional help.  If I have offended you I am very sorry.  To repeat, based on all your prior posts, there is zero evidence to suggest you have rabies, and leaping from a common cold to oh no I really do have rabies is distorted thinking that all of us wish we could help you correct.

My rabies fears started about a month before my wedding.  A few days after we got back from our honeymoon, I came down with a bad headache and vomiting--rabies symptoms!! But I am still here eight months later!  It was just the stomach flu. Not that I am encouraging you to google, but try searching for flu symptoms.  It sounds more like that is exactly what you are suffering from, and I am so sure you will feel better in a couple of days!! :)
