Lexapro withdrawl.
« on: January 02, 2013, 01:32:59 PM »
I haven't taken my Lexapro (10mg) in 5 days. I know you shouldn't stop like that, but I have no choice right now. I'm not feeling that great. I'm very emotional, brain zaps, just overall feel like 0103. How long can I expect this to last? I'm at my wits end with everything..

Unfortunately, this a 'how long is a piece of string' question. It all depends on your individual biology, but most of the symptoms should begin diminishing after 2 weeks or so from when the drug is stopped. The brain zaps may be the last to stop.

NOTE: I'm not a doctor, and particularly not yours, so there may be factors I'm unaware of. Therefore all advice is of a general nature and you should consult your doctor before following any of it, especially before changing med doses.
