My name is Kelli and I am 34 years old.  I am also pregnant.  I got off the welbutrin and xanaz but still use Ativan for an emergency.  I have had anxiety for at least 10 years.  I worry about taking the Ativan on the baby and I think I am a bad mom because I can’t make the anxiety go away.  I hope there is someone out there that can relate to me.  My therapist plays the blame game and doesn’t tell me how to get rid or lessen this anxiety.

Find the correct section of the forum that suits your condition and create a new topic on it. This is just a welcome section. Never really get the same amount of help in this section as you would on the other sections of the forums. So whatever one suits the questions you are asking. Get much better answers.

Welcome, Kelli! I've had anxiety since I was a child. I'm 37 now. I'd worry about my health, I'd worry that if someone was five minutes late that that must mean they were in a terrible accident, etc...It has come and gone at various points in my adult life. The last two weeks have been nasty for me. Physically, I feel fine, but I've spent my vacation poking and prodding and Googling. NO more Googling symptoms for me now!

I think a big step in lessening anxiety is to keep your mind busy with other things (read, play computer games, go out with friends).

Hello Kelli. I am just returning to this site after being away for a few years. This is a great and safe place to chat with individuals with like symptoms. Also a good place to make friends. I would suggest checking with the doctor on what you can and cannot take while pregnant. Anxiety and stress can be dangerous for the baby as well.

Hello!  I want so badly to start trying to conceive... but everytime my partner and I actually are ready to take that step, I back out.  My main  reason is my anxiety.  I just don't know if I could handle it.  I'd be interested to learn more about how you are doing. Best wishes.
