I really hate this time of year-- Stomach flu?
« on: January 01, 2013, 05:49:09 AM »
Hey all,

So the past couple of days I've been feeling under the weather when I wake up-- primarily in the morning, and no, unless immaculate conception is a real thing, there's no possibility of pregnancy. Anywho, as I get going I feel a bit better-- except for yesterday. The upset stomach/indigestion lasted all day. At first I thought I was having a heart attack then reasoned that out. The feeling went away for a bit until around 3 where my stomach is in this constant blargh state of I dunno. I want to sleep, but I'm afraid to because my body may relax to the point I puke. Which scares me so much. Because I've never had to take care of myself before-- my mom always did. But now that I'm on my own, well I live with my sister who's not the most compassionate person ever, I freak out over every ache or uneasy feeling in the winter because it could be the stomach flu. And I've tried to limit my exposure around people. But I kinda let go after Christmas and now, it's almost 6 am and I'm here typing this out and working through positive reinforcement to convince myself otherwise. I really don't know what to do and I know staying up all night to "control" it isn't going to work in my best favor. The only other thing I can think of is that it's cancer. Either way, it's not looking too good and positive reinforcement is struggling. Please help

I think as long as you practice good hygiene and take care of yourself, the odds of getting any
flu are greatly reduced.

I've just accepted I'm going to feel like 0104 most of the winter. My body basically hates the world and the cold so I normally have an upset stomach or nausea during winter time. I'm pretty sure it's actual sickness sometimes but nothing to be worried about. Winter is a time when it's easy to get sick with plenty of harmless illnesses!
