I find that my favorite youtube guided meditation channel calms the noise in my head.

Actually the one song that calms me down the best is off Rain Dogs by Tom Waits.  The song is called Gun Street Girl and something about the combination of the music and his vocals on that particular song help me breathe more easily during a panic attack and especially help me when I've worked myself up to the point of feeling nauseated.  I have it on it's own special playlist on both my iPod and my husband's for quick access!  I usually just listen to it on repeat until I'm calm.  No idea why that particular song is so effective in helping me control my breathing, but I'd recommend giving it a shot!

Imagine Dragons, He Is We, Owl City, and K'naan are my go-to's. And, of course, Disney soundtracks. Actually, all soundtracks. I love movie soundtracks!

I have a ton but the ones that are coming to mind right now are.

Still by Hillsong (religious)
If you're going through hell (Rodney Atkins)
Everything little thing is going to be alright (Bob Marley)
This Song Saved my Life (Simple Plan)
Welcome to My Life Simple Plan
Don't Worry Be Happy (cheesy but I love the Bob Marley version)
It's my Life (Bon Jovi)

I've started a "life soundtrack" music journal recently. Songs include ones that remind me of important milestones of my life, represent different facets of my relationships, or illustrate life's challenges. I've the playlist on my iPod, and I'm also writing down the lyrics in a notebook. after the lyrics I'll write a journal entry of the meaning of the song as it pertains to my life, whether it's a literal interpretation of lyrics or not. It's been a good introspective project for me. I'll share a few of the entries in the course of appointments with my psychiatrist along the way as I do with my regular CBT/etc journal

For me it's what I'm in the mood for. Usually something ambient like Brian Eno and Harold Budd. Or sometimes, inspirational movie soundtrack stuff helps me motivate myself. Also, anything that's a good singalong :)

Here's another fast paced, but upbeat one from the 80s. Those who grew up during this time may recognize the song from a popular movie.
