voltarin shots hurt

just got  back from the ER. I went with that pain in my side / ovary / nerve whatever which was getting worse all day. i then googled 'lower left abdomen pain' like a bad hypochondriach    and panicked when they said all pain in that region should be checked out immediately. pain really was hectic so sped off to the local hospital.

SA government hospitals suck.

there was some whacky drunk chick following me around and around the waiting room. pretty much i was the only person there not either drunk or bleeding or both.

there was someone's fresh blood all over the bench which no-one was bothering to clean up. and we have one of the highest HIV / Aids figures in the world.

had to go do the 'pee in a cup' thing and someone before me had misunderstood the instructions and 'peed on th floor' so i slipped badly, nearly did the splits (thankfully the stall was too small for me to do them properly) but then i had someone else's pee on my hand where i stopped myself. the whole 'splits' thing did nothing for the pain.

finally was seen by some really knackered doctor who poked at my sore places and made them more sore,   then said i must get to a gynea sometime meanwhile i must toddle off to the nurse's station for a voltarin shot.

i have had 2 before. the first one   gave me pain for months afterwards. before the second one the doc who gave it told me they only hurt of you rub the area right after having the shot. he was right - no rubbing, no pain. even so i tried to sneak out before they caught me but sadly i was found and sent back to the nurse for the shot. sat on the bed wondering if i could hide behind the curtain and not be found. the nurse gave me the most painless shot ever - i literally did not feel that needle enter the skin. i didn;t know that was possible. SADLY she gave the area a really hard rub right after before i had time to stop her.

by the time i got to the car 2 things had happened: 1.the pain in my side had left. 2. i could hardly walk. it is now 2 hours later and 2 oral painkillers later and my butt is still burning. I am sitting on one 'cheek'. NOT funny!



bTW where is Hkov/ it's been ages! I am really hoping she is doing fabulously and not even checking in here. anyone know?
