« on: December 11, 2012, 10:05:49 AM »
So I have a Dr's appt tomorrow and am going to see if she will prescribe me Celexa for anxiety & anxiety induced Depression. I am going to be fully committed to taking the meds even if it is horrible the first few weeks. I just want to feel normal again!!! If anybody has any success stories regarding Celexa feel free to fill me in. I would appreciate it!!!

Took it for nine years. Great medicine for anxiety and OCD. Switched to Lexapro as it started to kind of stop working a little. Probably should've just raised the dose. I was taking a bunch of bodybuilding supplements too so no telling what that was doing to it.

It works for a whole lot of people. Small side effect profile. If you do get sides, PM me and I will talk you through them.

Good, tried to go off of Lexapro this past spring and my OCD and anxiety came back full force. Now I am back on it with a low dose of Lamictal and it seems to be getting me recovered.

I took Celexa for 8 years, starting at 20mgs all the way up to 60mgs until it pooped out....now I am playing the med game to find another one that works for me.  I wish I could still take Celexa, that stuff saved my life...Good luck :)

I took Celexa (well, the generic) for 10 years and it worked fine. I was actually able to get down to a really low dose (5mg a day). I managed to get off of it completely for an entire year but had to go back on it recently due to a lot of stress in my life. Hoping it works as well this time!

hey blondie!

i see this message is from december 11th, just wondering if you ended up getting on the celexa?

ive been on it for about 4 years now and its a good fit for me. i tried two differnt kinds before i got on this one and they were heeell for me.

i used to be on 20mg but last year tapered down to 10mg with the intention of getting off of ssri's. but i got scared and stayed at the 10....been contemplating bumping back up to 20mg because the last couple of months my anxiety has been pretty bad.

just wanted to know how you doing?? :)

I actually switched to Lexapro and today is day 9. For the first 7 days I was on 10mg and now I'm up to 20mg. I hate the fact that I have to take this & I'm so impatient. lol
