Health Anxiety Rollercoaster-- Resources anyone?
« on: November 10, 2007, 06:36:22 AM »
::)  HA for me has been cyclical.  Some days, months, even years I'm feeling pretty good.  Other times in real despair.   3 years ago was my all time low, so at least I'm happy I've made SOME headway.

I am looking for some good health anxiety resources, books, links, etc.  Can you please leave me some of your favorites that have been helpful?

Thanks and have worry free day!  :action-smiley-065:   (Cuz I know this night sucks for me )

I have really been struggling trying to get help for my health anxiety through the medical community...so far haven't found ANY doc who understands. It's been extremely frusterating, so I know how it feels. In the meantime I've been reading "The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook" by Edmund J. Bourne, Ph. D. I found it at Barnes and Novle. It's the only book I've found that is somewhat helpful...I've never seen any HA specific books in stores before, but they must be out there to order.
Good luck!
