Greetings, just joined
« on: April 23, 2006, 11:16:00 AM »
Greetings,
My name is Jani and I've just joined the group. For nearly 30 years I've had Anxiety in one form or another. Guess you could say, been there done it all. Thankfully, I have managed to survive and live each day.  Basically, I'm doing  pretty good and would like to offer help to others.  I've walked many a long mile in your moccasins as they say I sure would love to help and give support here in the community.
I'm a Reiki Teacher/Master.  For more information check my website to learn what Reiki is, this is hope I'm able to help so many people, be it physical or emotional.

Blessings, Love and Healing Light to All,
Jani~

Good Morning md,
Thanks for the welcome, I was so busy yesterday I never did have time to reply back to you, sorry about that.
Actually I still have my bouts with Anxiety and Panic attacks to this day. This winter my son started suffering big time with the same disorder *sigh.  He got hit so bad and I have been working with him all the time. He's afraid to take meds, thinks he's dying and he's only 32.  It breaks my heart that he's got what I have. Although my mother had it, then me, now him.  I do feel part of mine becoming active again is the stress I'm under worrying about him.
I do Reiki on myself, do meditation and try very hard to keep my focus on only positive things.
I'm not up on the new meds that most people are taking, I have been taking valium forever and it works when I need it to.  Also I have a lot of support from my hubby, bless his heart.
There are so many things we can do when having an attack that are effective in calming down.  I happen to be big on stones, I keep one with me at all times.  Quartz Crystal is one that does wonders as it holds the positive energy put into it for a long time.  All that is needed to cleans it and rid it of negatives is a good soak in salt water and a nice sun or moon bath.  I also use Sage a lot to clear the air of negatives. There are just so many tools at hand and each is well worth trying.
Have you checked my website? I've lots of information there that can benefit anyone who has either a physical or emotional/mental problem. I have to do some work today, I work P/T at home but will be back later to reply to a few other posts I've seen. In the meantime, wishing you a happy day :)
Love, Blessings and Light,
Jani~
