Watched that one with the kids. I thought it was cute too. We try to watch Despicable Me at least once a month though :) Can't wait for the sequel

American Beauty. The ending left me depressed but it was a really good film, with a lot to say about how we live our lives.

The 1980 movie 'The Elephant Man'. John Hurt and Anthony Hopkins were excellent. Filming it in black and white makes it feel more epic, timeless. Very sad movie.

I thought Anthony Hopkins looked really dashing in it as Treves. I liked his hair, his Victorian dress clothes - even his beard!

Saw the clip where he is moved to tears upon seeing the poor soul. The cruelty of humans in this scene is astounding. The ring master even has his little boy trained to cruelty.

I watched Hanna the other night, I was a little disappointed but it wasn't bad. Could have been so much better as it was an interesting story with interesting characters, but it just wasn't put together very well.

I recently watched The Exploding Girl with Zoe Kadan and loved it.  Safety Not Guaranteed is another of my new favourites, and for anyone who hasn't seen it, Paperheart.  Paperheart stars Charlyne Yi and Michael Cera in fictionalized versions of themselves.  It's about finding love, and finding one's self, it's beautiful.  And the soundtrack is lovely.

I saw the Evil Dead remake. I thought it would be terrible because the original was so campy and the trailer made this one out to be serious, but it wasn't too bad.
