Another nutcase signs up

Hi all

Great site

OK I have a lot of the same symptoms so won't go into those but anyone else have the following:
(BTW my current big fears are MS and ALS - boring huh!?)

Difficulty speaking properly - comes and goes. Today was bad. I keep tripping over my words and / or slurring and / or stammering esp. on the s sounds. If I persevere for instance reading my little boy a story it seems to come right for a bit.

Also, a burning sensation in my palms and the soles of my feet - as if i've been beating a drum or clapping too hard. Sometimes this developes into a feeling as if someone is scraping a stick against these parts of my body.

Finally two days ago i had this feeling like something (like an insect) was crawling in my mouth, on my tongue and on the roof of my mouth.

Yeah, I;ve had all the tests, paid a fortune and am now in therapy which is fabulous, but these symptoms don't seem to tie in with the whole anxiety thing.

ps I live in Cape Town, South Africa and my best daily 'cure' is a swim in the sea.

Lucky you, Cape town is beautiful. The mind is a wonder, but weird organ. It amazes me how our fears and anxiety can manifest in so many different physical symptoms. Good luck and keep the faith, we're all in this together.

I know those feelings all too well.  Isn't it incredible what the mind can create.  If we can easily create those thoughts/feelings why can't we make them go away?

Hkov... when you say "I know those feelings all too well" do you mean the emotions or the symptoms I mentioned in the first email? (speech problems, burning hands and sensations in the mouth)

I'm asking because the first two have been really intense this evening and I can't seem to believe they can really just be anxiety...
