IBS or Colon Cancer???

Forgive me in advance for asking this, but I need to know
sometimes when I do a bowel movement, after it hurts in my pelvic area.  Its almost like I can feel my intestines. I know sounds crazy.  About five or six months ago, i went for an ultrasound becasue of the abdominal pain.  Nothing showed up.  If something was wrong with my intestines would it show up?
I also have pressure around my rectum area, it feels like I have to go but there is nothing but gas
So much for feeling great
I need advice, any would be helpful

those are pretty vague and nonspecific symptoms. they don't really sound like colon cancer to me. colon cancer is usually associated with progressive constipation/diarrhea, often with a lot of blood.

I have IBS and it seems I am always battling the stomach cramps and many other not so pretty symptoms.  I find that the more control I have over my anxiety the less the stomach issues get to me. I would be surprised if what you are feeling is anything other than stomach pains caused by IBS.  Have you had it checked out?

no I haven't checked it out.  I'm a very shy person and am embarrassed writing it here.
Its a new day and I'm not so concerned with it today as I was yesterday, however I think I might make a doctors appointment when we get back form vacation
