« on: February 07, 2012, 11:02:56 PM »
Ok so im going through a pretty bad divorce....My husband was extremely emotionally abusive. I started having trouble with HA when all this started...I've been trying to fight it but its just so hard when someone beats you down constantly verbally. Well i've noticed i got and get so mad at him and his family for calling me names and what not..that NOW after i get very angry and my heart races...my face and arms get super hot..and last a good hour or so after I get that mad....Is this normal? I have really bad heart anxiety....so it really worries me...any advice???

Hi Honeydew,

All the of things you are describing sound very normal to me.  Its normal to have a flushed face after getting angry.  And its also normal to have your heart race when upset or anxious.  So from those things you mention, I don't see anything abnormal.

I know you are in an anxious time right now, so its understandable that you are frustrated.  But hopefully in time you can heal.  Are there any things you can do for stress relief right now or support?  Exercise, yoga, meditation, talk to a friend, a therapist?  Perhaps you could talk to your doctor about it too.

I hope things sort out in due time,  let us know if you continue to have any worries or concerns,

Sounds normal to me too. When I get mad, my face, arms, and legs feel hot and shaky. It's annoying because it feeds my anger lol... And I'm sorry what you're going through with your hubby.. Hope it gets better  :action-smiley-065:

I'm the same way, even just the slightest provocation will give me little hot flashes. Like today I just posted a 0409 status and someone left a cynical/rude comment on it that some people I don't like Liked and that was enough to make me break a sweat a little bit. I think my anxiety also makes me a little more sensitive to things like that though.
