Inner Critic is loud today!
« on: January 31, 2012, 07:31:12 AM »
Just having one of those blah depression days when my inner critic is running lose.  Saying things like "I'm worthless," "I'm weak," "I hate my brain" and "I'm a failure."  Not rational I know, just had to rant.   >:(

I have many of those days as well. Turning inward on your anger can lead down a very dark path, so I suggest directing it through harmful expression. Ever try painting? I take photographs, and run when I feel like I'm at my absolute worst with my depression, but it's of course different for everyone. Anyway, I hope you learn to tell your critic to stop being such a critic.  :winking0008:

I did, I decided to focus on my cute budgies that helped.  Thankfully, the dark cloud didn't last more than a few days.  Thanks for advice, I do love photography maybe I need to get more into that...  :happy0151:

You're not alone there.

I get the inner critic on occasion - luckily, my therapy's helped to control him for the most part.

Ooh, that critic is the worst! :sick0002: Lots of positive self-talk and self-TLC helps me a lot in combating that problem. I also like to pursue hobbies and activities to keep my mind and mood leveled. Or just taking a quick walk around the block to clear my head. Meds and therapy have helped as well. So, luckily, there are a lot of different ways to beat back that gosh darn critic!!!

Best wishes to you! ♥

It makes me feel better knowing others can relate to what I'm going through.  Thanks for everyone's input!
