in new and a little lost with this whole support forum thing
« on: January 30, 2012, 01:11:29 AM »
Hello,
sad to say that as a social worker whom has worked in the mental health system for some time that i have never been on a support forum. My name is meagan and i am 25 years old. Currently i am diagnosed with panic disorder with agoraphobia. the onset of my illness occured in highschool. I looked up a support forum today because for the last few months my symptoms have greatly interefered with my daily living. I have decided to quit my full time job as a social worker and return to college while focusing on my recovery. I was hoping when i resigned from my high stress low pay job at a local mental health center that i would start to feel better especially since i have increased my prozac. I initiallly felt better but therse last few days have been rough and im scared in sloping back down into the illness. I am currently on Prozac 20 mg 2times daily, i have been to 5 sessions with an idividual therapist, and i have been seeing the same psychiatrist for almost three years and she is wonderful. I really dont know what im supposed to do on here or how this will help but im grasping at straws and need to talk to some people who can understand what im dealing with. I dont even know how to chat or do whatever but im sure ill figure it out somehow. any tips on how to get accustomed to this please give them,
 thanks
Meagan
