gas/diarrhea....sorry gross

i have extreme anxiety induced diaherra and gas....
does anyone know how to treat this? i'm procrastinating going to the doctors?
i've been tested for IBS they said it wasnt that...

I used Gas-X and that has worked well.  I also have drank peppermint tea which is phenomenal for the stomach.  I would give the peppermint tea and Gas-X a try.  Both work well.

i am a worrier and i think that causes it...
i wonder if the docs can teach me to not worry as much and in turn i'd have less gas/dia...

Yea, I know the more anxiety I have the more IBS I have.  They are kinda go hand in hand.  I personally take Xanax for the anxiety and that works really well.  I also meditate, exercise, eat well, and don't drink, smoke, or drink caffeine.  The Xanax has really helped for me personally, but everyone is different when it comes to meds.  The life changes I have made I think are pretty universal and should help you if you practice them religiously.  Plus I keep Gas-X close for stomach pains if needed.

A couple of questions, what did your IBS 'test' consist of and what other stomach symptoms besides diarrhea and gas do you get?

Someone please keep this going. i am in the same boat and have come to the point that i worry about losing it in public so i scope every restroom and as soon as i get there i dont have to go. i have had several company outings that only the VP's get invited to and declined to go because of this. I always have the feeling that i have to go. dont know when its real or not. I am at hte point of selling my boat because it doesnt have a toilet in case i need one.
