lost GF due to anxiety/agoraphobia
« on: January 11, 2012, 04:57:06 PM »
yup, it had been slowly coming to a end, unfortunately Xmas really put a lot of stress on both of us
(she's disabled with Fibro/depression herself) but in the last 5 months, I had gotten significantly worse
in terms of Agoraphobia, and I hardly went to her place, Saw her as much as possible with family support
etc, but she wants more, she says she's doing it for me, as we both believe in ways, she was a stress
source, for example we'd make plans for me to sleepover on a Friday, but due to my Agora etc it would
never happen..( she could never sleep her due to her severe Allergies to my cats, and the fact I live with
my father, who she always thought of "as being in the way of privacy" so I let her go, told her to be guilt
free.. and have now resigned myself to live the remainder of my life single, it's just too difficult when you
deep rooted Anxiety/Agoraphobic etc... So I plan to move on, and be what I used to be.....at least when Single I did have less stress... She wanted to go to Restaurants and Movies all the time and wants someone more active, last time I saw a movie in the theater was 1995 I think... I'll heal in time I guess....

I'm so sorry to hear of your separation Tony. I know you're still trying to find a med to help you as you have mentioned you've found little success with the plethora of others you have tried. I wish for you to soon find a med that helps. Are you in counseling at all? I forget if you had mentioned that. I know it's easier said then done but I hope you are pushing yourself to do things and not retreating to the safety of staying home. I don't want, and you shouldn't either, for your world to become smaller and smaller. Please, push yourself, set a new task to accomplish each day. However mundane it might be, a walk to the curb, around the block, etc.. We're all rooting for you man.
