On a positive note ...
« on: January 04, 2012, 06:03:53 PM »
So, earlier I wrote about freaking out about not going to 3 classes I registered in (no assignments/no attendance/ no exams) and I was panicking on that would do. Well, in a step in the right direction, I went to the doctors today (finally was able to get in) and told him everything. It felt amazing to get it off my chest and to tell someone who understood. Not only did he write me a note and offer to write me a letter explaining to my school, he also gave me advice who to talk to and how to go about it so it doesn't affect me academically.  And while I still have to talk to the school itself (which, I'm scared shitless for), knowing that I'm armed with my doctor's support (and note) makes me feel alot better and that the school won't be all like, "Yea right. You're making that up." I know there's still a long road ahead of me to right the wrongs of last semester, but I also feel alittle more relaxed. Plus! He referred me to a CBT and upped my dosage of Wellbutrin (because I was having a panic attack in the office.)
I'm just so relieved that I have a doctor who is so understanding, was able to fit me in today, and made me feel like I wasn't a freak. Also, I mentioned to him that my throat/neck was killing me and was probably my lymph nodes, but he did, and it's because I have a cold. lol. And because he knew that I have had heart fears and lung cancer fears, he checked and re-assured me that all was well.
*sigh* Have had a great day today. Even my panic attack in the doctors' office couldn't affect how relieved I am now.
