So I've had a headache on and off for two days, and the past 2 nights I haven't slept great, it seems like I've woken up more and just don't feel as rested when I wake up. It finally started to bother me so I googled my symptoms, somehow I ended up looking multiple sclerosis. I'm  really worried I could have it. I'm 22 and  about a month ago I had numbness in my forearm for a couple days. I went to a doctor and he had me do some movements and told me to see a neurologist if it didn't go away. I'm really worried because I'm at the age that ms usually first appears and it said one of the first symptoms is numbness or tingling. Can anyone help? Is this something I should get checked out? Also if  anyone could offer advice about my headache I would really appreciate it.

Hi Wolverines - Check out the pink thread at the top of the forum: http://www.anxietyzone.com/index.php/topic,9832.0.html

You're doing what many of us did when our HA was new - you went straight for MS because it shares so many symptoms of anxiety.

I had something similar happen to me... I got some numb patches on my shoulder. Turned out I'd pinched a nerve. The neurologist told me a story about a patient like you whose arm was totally numb. It turned out she had been drawing on the floor and had pinched a nerve in her elbow. It's SO common - especially with all the time we spend slouching in front of our computers these days.

As for your headaches, they can be caused by a million things, but I rarely hear people with MS claiming they were an early symptom.

I think you're fine... you're just anxious. Read that earlier post, get some exercise and start paying attention to your posture.

Ditto everything Slangevar said!  :)

You had numbness for a couple days a whole month ago, and now you've had a headache for a couple days. I must be missing something, because there is nothing in your post that screams "MS" at me!  :)

You have no cause for worry at all.  You're just fine.  :)
