Going to try the Linden Method
« on: November 04, 2011, 07:33:29 PM »
I stopped seeing my Psych, he gave me excellent advice "Stop smoking certain things" which greatly has helped my level of anxiety. Im still not perfect, but im getting there.

It just seemed to me after 5 visits that he wasn't really qualified in dealing with the "Anxiety". In fact in our first meeting he said he wasn't sure if he could help me, that with this sort of somatic issue, it is necessary for me to make changes in my mindset altogether before the symptoms begin to dissapear. I have plenty of friends here and on liveleak that have "supposedly" gotten help from the Linden method.  Also, he had a nasty habit of talking about his health problems/money issues which kind of increased my anxiety and guilt.

I'm skeptical, and feel a little guilty for stopping seeing the psych but I honestly feel that im ready to move on to something more challenging.

Also he wasn't a psych, he was a "Counselor" SP?

Thanks guys,  if anyone knows about the LM please message me. Hoping to hear some positive stories.

Search for whatever works for you. Some people need psych, others will feel better and get better faster with a self help book. LM helped me with panic atks, I have to try it one more time cos previously I wasn't really following his tips.

I really like his relaxation mp3, but I didn't get much else out of his program that I didn't already know.    I had better results with CBT4Panic.
