May not be, but could be...

It could be anxiety and stress, possibly.  So be cautious about labeling yourself without a proper diagnosis from a trained professional.

I have been diagnosed with Fibromayalgia this year.  (I had been suspecting other illnesses and so found a great rheumatologist recommended by different places and he is the one that suspected FM for me, which I really hadn't much)  For me getting the diagnosis actually helped me find relief because I had been feeling so off for years and not knowing what was causing me so many bizarre issues was making me go a bit mad.  For me, fibromayalgia made some amount of sense...

The commercials I see on tv don't even go into detail about some of the other issues that I dealt with, but I found the fibromayalgia section at about.com helpful.

Also keep in mind that fibromayalgia affects people to different degrees.  For me, its a bit annoying, but doesn't really impede me from living mostly normal.  And the good news for me is that fixing my lifestyle choices helps me feel much, much better.  I didn't realize it before, but what I eat and how I sleep are huge factors in my issues worsening...  by eating healthy, and staying away from foods that rile up my body, I feel so, so, so much better.  Yay!  (I stay away from stuff like preservatives, soy, beef, lunch meat, MSG, chocolate, coffee, caffeine, canned food, tv dinners, etc.)

No offense, but this board isn't very active, so I don't know about how much support you will find here in this section.   I only saw that this message was moved from the health anxiety board.  There are a few others that come to anxietyzone that have fibromayalgia.  I don't talk about fibromaylgia much because I see myself as relatively healthy...

FIBROMYALGIA is very, very painful. I could not survive without pain medication to take upon first waking in the morning. I've suffered with this for many years. I hurt all over but my feet , legs and knees are the most painful.I hobble out of bed and get in a very hot tub of water after I take the medicine. This is the only routine that allows me to keep going. I have found that I have to make myself keep going . If I gave in to this nightmare I would stay in bed forever. I keep trying to fight this and hope that someone can tell me a secret on what vitamins or over the counter stuff that might help. I sure hope you do not have this. The pain was so bad last month that my doctor has me now taking medicine for depression and anxiety. I can only hope this will kick in soon. I am reading all the new and old posts. I am glad I found ANXIETYZONE . I do not feel so alone. A lot of people and doctors do not believe in FIBROMYALGIA. But I am here to say it is very real. I wish more folks would talk about it. I really hope you have another condition because this never goes a way . Good luck  if I can answer any question for you I would like to payback for the information I have received from this forum.       Warmly nonnie
