Meds

What medications does everyone take - especially antidepressants and did they work to get you back to yourself - what about benzos - what do you take?  I'm still struggling take Effexor....week 4 now and I know I have more weeks to do but I get myself into these weird thought patterns about life and what it's all about.  I know this too shall pass but when you are in it, it's hard.

I have panic disorder now for about 20 years. The meds I have taken include Paxil, Zoloft and Celexa. I am currently taking Xanax  .25mg 3x a day. For me this is the best Medicine I have ever taken for anxiety. Everyone is different. The antidepressants made me feel worse, more anxious and tired. Good luck to you.

I take Lithium, Depakote, Neurontin (anxiety) Symbyax and Seroquel.

I take 100 mg zoloft, 50 mg seroquel and ambien to sleep.  I have tried several anti anxiety meds and this is the best combination for me.  When I would take the zoloft or something similar it would help my anxiety but I would feel more depressed.  Adding the seroquel (mood stabilizer) has taken care of that problem for me.

Anyway don't be discouraged if you have aproblem with one type as there are many different meds and different combinations you can try.

By the way I do have a script for Klonopin (benzo) but I very very rarely take it as my anxiety is normally 95% gone with my current meds.

I take 25mg Zoloft twice a day for anxiety, and .25mg Xanax as needed for panic.
