Congratulations!  I've been one year and two months smoke free, so I know the struggles you've been up against!  It ain't easy, but you are right, it can be done!

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.

Well done! As we all know Quiting a habbit is a fairly hard thing to achieve so keep it up and spend the saved money on yourself! :happy0151:

Good for you. You won't relapse either.

I quit many years ago, still like the smell of smoke when someone else smokes, but would never go back.

when i was planning my quit I read that people try an average of 8 times before finally quitting for good. I've wondered if I'll break. I've had dreams about smoking and in my dreams I was so disappointed in myself for having smoked again...

My confidence for you is the length of time. Any addiction to nicotine is long gone. I read that there is pleasure in the sensory activity: taking the cigarette out, lighting it, tasting and seeing and smelling the smoke. I may have done that for a while: no inhaling just blow the smoke around. Then got disgusted by the taste in my mouth.

The dream might be a replay of what you may seen or recently experienced such as someone else smoking. It could be wishful dreaming because of those pleasurable aspects. I'd say to brain, "Thanks for reminding me not to go there." Instead, you may want to invest in mints, lifesavers, gum. I have collections of them.

I quit cigs over 2 years ago using the electronic cigarette, I still vape but no smokes in over 2 years!  Definitely feel better, and actually moved down to the lowest nicotine content on the e-cig now too!  so good things!
