Medication helpful or not
« on: June 18, 2007, 11:09:45 AM »
Can medication actually make you feel worse.  I read an article that most people don't even need antidepressants - they need exercise, eat right, etc.  I'm having a hard time with both right now.  I was addicted to exercising.....and then I stopped when I started feel bad.  Sometimes I feel like Effexor is going to make me have a full blown anxiety attack and makes me want to smoke and drink but I can't drink.  I had a few drinks while taking it and then took my remeron at night and passed out in the hallway.  THAT was not good.  I see my therapist today who will recommend exercise again which is going to be hard.

Anyway, this article I read said antidepressants are giving out too much and maybe I'd feel better if I didn't take them - this probably isn't correct right...especially if I'm debilitated by the anxiety/depression.

Just a thought.
