I'm not sure what class of drug Cipralex is.....I think it's an SSRI? I think the seizure side affect is when coming off of meds too quick. I know that is the case for benzos (xanax, ativan, klonapin). I actually had a seizure because I came off of a benzo (Librium) too quickly. You have to slowly taper off the drugs. Just to be safe, I'd ask your doctor if you are that worried about it. And when you are ready to come off of the meds, have a slow-taper plan ready. In my case, I tapered off in 2 weeks when I should've tapered off in 2 months. That's why I had the seizure.

any medication that says seizures is a side effect would mean an EXTREME side effect, not a run of the mill side effect. I would even say it wouldn't be considered a side effect but an exteme adverse reaction to the medication.  As jwall mentions too--it more likely occurs when coming off a med incorrectly.

you know seizures are scary.  I should know as my daughter has a severe seizure disorder.  Seizures don't just happen.  There are reasons for them. So your obsession with having a seizure has ZERO baring on the chance of you EVER having one.

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.
