i neveer feel guilty about how self absorbed i am, i dont really care about other people's problems and my friends khow that and are fine with it.
so when my firned found out i was cutting myself she had a fit about it, yet the way i see it, she is shovelling in mountains of cocaine every night....isnt that the same thing?
we ae both self destructive yet i do it in a less coventional way.
people make such a big deal about self harm, thats why i dont tell anyone because they think there opinion is superior as a non-self-harming-being.
im happy with the way i am...so i shouldnt have to change for anyone right?

Self harm is common for people like us.  Its a coping stratagy we have.  Having others concern over are well being is nice, take it to heart as they care for you..however our own feelings about things are the most important.  If you are working towards treating your depression...as you begin to heal...the less likely you will self harm.
