Out of refills, doctors office closed

 So today I took the last pill of my effexor xr, my doctors office did call in the prescription today but I guess it got messed up or something, they are however availaible 24/7 so hopefully I can get it taken care of. But I was just wondering, worst case scenario I heard that pharmacy's will give you like a 3 day emergency supply? does anyone know anything about this. I'll obviously call a pharmacy tommorow but it would just help me sleep better knowing that is an option.

Yes, that is a definite option...So go to sleep knowing that.  It has happened to me a couple of times.  You'd think I'd know better after the first time, but I don't claim to be the sharpest pencil in the box...

In future though, try and make sure you have at least a week's supply before reordering so that you don't get left short.

Sleep well, you will have pills in the morning.  Pharmacies are used to people like us and recognize the importance of not missing a dose.

Yes, I believe most pharmacies will give you a few days emergency supply (I have had them do it for me before)  Hopefully you already have that and this is no longer an issue for you.
