I am 43, I think mine has a lot to do with hormones. I am sure I am perimenopause. I have always been a worry wart but have noticed in these last few years it has gotten much worse. During ovalation and a couple of days before my period starts
I can soooo identify. Some will tell you that you're too young. Not so. The anxiety and other symptoms. MD sent me to a Pdoc. Got diagnosed with ADD (at 42), and many other things. I had a great female doctor (holistic). She put me on the pill and bio-identical hormones later on. If you've been on the pill before with no problems, use the brand that worked before. Saved my life! Beware of doctors who say the pill is dangerous and try to put you on hormones because when your girley hormones are all over the place adding more, in my case, made it worse (ekg for chest pains)! IMO, some of the newer BC pills are not good either. (check side-effects and legals, ex: Yaz) My peri symptoms: heart palpitations, chest pain, super anxiety, mood swings, BRAIN FOG - got lost in my own neighborhood and had to pull over to figure out where I was! Hot flashes, night sweats. If not for the pill, I think I'd have lost my job.
