Well I'm 55, had first panic at 31, very rough year getting onto a med at sufficient doses to control the ensuing anxiety and depression, then fine till I turned 44, bam had one again, cue changing meds and a summer to recover, then the latest anxiety episode (not full blown panic attack) plus some depression right now, though today has been pretty good compared to most of the last 2 weeks since I got back on lexapro and klonopin (was off meds for a while). Life has generally been fine between episodes, its not the external that bothers me so much as the internal. I believe it is genetic, my father had his first at 24. Whomever finds a permanent cure for this s*t deserves a Nobel Prize.

I am a few days away from being 31 and I have been dealing with anxiety for most of my life. However I never really “let” it get to me until I had a mental breakdown at age 24. Now it controls me to a point.

Well this is really time my anxiety has spiked, but I'm thinking it's worse than the first time. I was first treated for anxiety (mostly social) and mild depression the summer after 8th grade. I was almost 15 at the time, end of summer birthday. I had presented with having bad anxiety several times prior to me being treated. I probably started developing it in 5th grade.
Now I'm 21 and insanely stressed and anxious again and I have acid reflux right now as a result.

I'm 49 and had my first bout with anxiety when I was 45 I think it has a lot do do with my hormones. Menopause does weird things!

The anxiety hit at 52. I just turned 53 and it is becoming more severe and frequent. I just want it to stop!

I had my first real "foggy brain" feeling when I was 38. I'm now 41 and had my first severe panic attack a few weeks ago.

I'm 30 and have a long history of not so great stuff; family breakdown, foster care, drug use, abusive relationships, more- but saddest for me is that my life is really stable and happy now and yet anxiety & panic appear now.... I think they were always laying dormant and maybe appeared now as I may have the surrounding strength to overcome them. I hope so atleast; as at times it feels the anxiety has the strength to destroy everything I love and cherish now

I am 15 nearly 16. I don't know how long its been going on cause last year i only just figured out my sweets and tingles and everything else was anxiety..

I'm 23. I suppose it's due to predisposition...if that's possible. My anxiety just comes out of nowhere most of the time. Catches me off guard. Other times I go through spells where it completely steals my joy. It's a daily uphill battle for me.
