I am 49. My anxiety didnt really start until about 3 years ago. I do not know why, maybe it was the death of my mother, maybe it is hormones, maybe age? I have no idea, but i do know that my life was so much happier before this anxiety issue.

My anxiety issues didn't kick in until i was over 45!

I find this really interesting that the average age is around 30ish. I started to seriously worry when I was 26 and 30 and I think it's very telling and actuall comforting!!

I'm almost 26 years old and i noticed almost half of the ppl here are between 22-32 yrs old is this the young ppl's disease nowadays?

I used to think only women get this stuff but for a good 3 months now i have panic attacks on a regular basis ... I was like the most chill dude in the world with NO known phobias WHATSOEVER ... now I keep thinking I might be having a stroke during the attacks ... the cool thing is they usually come when I wanna sleep and an even cooler thing is I NEVER had problems falling asleep ... so u can roughly guess how a tired mind gets even more tired thinking it's gonna die any second now

I'm 15, but honestly I don't remember a time without anxiety. It's worse now that I'm in my teens, though.

I'm 47 and female. Totally relate to the hormone issues. Always worst 2 weeks before my period, which I started to notice late last year. I have been tracking with a diary and I'm quite sure there is a strong correlation between panic attacks and being perimenopausal. My GP is not so sure - he is not a fan of HRT like many doctors in Australia but many naturopaths believe that bioidentical progesterone is useful in managing perimenpause sysmptons.
