im 18! i suffered from depression but didnt really get over it and i would say i have been suffering from anxiety attacks for about 4months and im soo ill with it im just struggling to tell people how im feeling i just about told my doctor and now im going to see a councellor. reading all these post scares me am i going to be like this for a long time i can go on like this.

its weird how the age of 23-32 has the most people here. I would have to say my GAD started right after the death of my father. The amount of stress from that i guess made me cave into this anxiety which i hate so much. The worst feeling is the brain fog i would say especially when I'm driving.

I'm 45. I've had anxiety and depression on and off my entire adult life. Recently my anxiety has been through the roof and my panic attacks are back. I have some theories about why this is happening, but I'm not entirely sure. I think my medication probably needs tweaking too and I'm off to see the pdoc next week.

I'm 20. I have anxiety/depression/OCD. However am not noticing it atm because my meds are working amazing!!

I am 34 and am in my 20th year of hoping to find a happy medium. 20 years of mental instability has most definitely taking its toll on any hopes or dreams I once had. my life consists mostly of managing (or at least trying to) manage or mask my symptoms. I am able to hide this from many people , but have to live with me and it hasn't been easy.

I am 32 and started having anxiety bad at 19 right after I had my daughter and went on birth control. Ive been on and off meds and found as I got older, I had better control over my anxiety without meds, until recently my hormones have been out of balance and Im having anxiety symptoms pretty bad again. Doctor says this is normal for someone my age. That hormones are powerful and its completely normal. I dont know if I agree with the normal part.

I am 38, but came to realize that I have suffered since childhood. It is amazing how we can adapt and accept, which only makes the circle turn faster. I suppose, it can effect at any age.

22. was terribly anxious as a child, always thought I had some fatal disease. managed to get through my teenage years fine, but now that I'm about to leave college the anxiety has come back with a vengeance.

I'm 20, I've had anxiety problems since i was about 6yrs old tho, but it has been getting worse. I think a lot of my anxiety is caused by things that have happened in my past.

I'm 40. Looking back, think I should have seen this coming; sustained high life stress with unexplained symptoms for many years. Then, made a major life change (changing jobs and moving to another part of the country), which seemed to finally push me over the edge. At least, that's my theory. There certainly seems to be a connection.

lol, theres quite a few people under 21 with anxiety, youre not alone

I'm only 19.
Quite a few people on here have had anxiety since a really young age. I feel lucky i've only had it for a few years.

Hi everyone ,

Im 42 . Ive been suffering from panic attacks since 2005 now !

!!! Ive had a tough life sense childhood but in 2004 broke my back and almost died during surgery so after just 2 days home from hospital had my first panic attack ended up in er ! After that therapy and xanax keeps me going !

The age ranges of people who are members of this chartroom. You have to be at least 13 to be a member of this chartroom. However that doesn’t mean people younger than 13 aren’t suffering from an Anxiety Disorder!

The youngest member of this chartroom I’ve ever met was 14 and the oldest was 60! Besides age is just a number. Everyone here is really awesome and ready to support you with whatever issues you may be facing!

Don’t worry about feeling the youngest!
