I would actually want to die suddenly, or in my sleep, BUT at a ripe old age. Thinking you might die in your sleep has nothing to do with actually dying.  This fear will die off soon once you realize that every morning you are waking up.

It's not what's happening to you now or what has happened in your past that determines who you become. Rather, it's your decisions about what to focus on, what things mean to you, and what you're going to do about them that will determine your ultimate destiny.

I think most people are afraid of living. Thus we have these anxiety sufferers. So if you had a choice. Life or death? Would you be able to put your worries to one side and begin to live life to the full?

I have felt like that, when did this start for you? Are you under a lot of stress? Did something in particular trigger it?

This started for me about a month ago... yes Im under a lot of stress. :(

I moved to a new location, I dont have any friends, and I dont do anything but study.

I miss having my friends to make me laugh, I dont have friends anymore, the people I hung out with in the past were not the "best crowd"  they smoked a lot of weed, and drank a lot of liqour. I'm trying to change my lifestyle and not do that stuff anymore, and i dont want to hang out with people that do that stuff too, cause it tempts me to want to do it too, and I am going for my nursing license so I don't want to jeopardize my future anymore.

I stay up until 6 am, then I wake up at 10 :00 am.  I am too scared to fall asleep. I feel safer when the sun is up, then I can sleep at ease.

I am afraid of the dark, I dont like spiders. I dont wanna get bite by one and "die"

I am scared of the future, I dont want to hear anyone I love die. I dont want to picture it.  But I think about it.

I feel GUILTY to be happy..... Its so weird. :( :( :(

Is there some way you might be able to connect with some more people where you live now?  I recently heard from a study and survey that the more friends you have and spend time with, the happier people tend to be (according to some study).  I think I'm happier and more 'centered' when I'm around my friends and connected to them.  Maybe whatever hobbies or things in life that excite you or engage you, you could try meeting people with the same interests by going out and doing those things when you aren't studying.  (art... working out... dancing... what-have-you) and over time you will find yourself slowly meeting new people.   I remember feeling near-miserable the first few weeks to month of college because I didn't know anyone and missed my friends from home.. but luckily I made some new ones.  I had to give it some time.

For me, its sort of like this.. I don't want to think about death when I don't have to.  Sure, one day I will lose people I love, and they will lose me.. but why START the grieving process so prematurely and inappropriately.

Would you break out in the electric slide dance at a funeral?  Probably not.  So why act like you are at a funeral when you are supposed to be thriving and living life?  Its backwards.

We are ALLOWED to be happy.  You are allowed to be happy.  You should allow yourself the liberty and freedom to be, and take that one baby-step at a time.
