Hi there,

I thought I would start a thread in this sub forum on exactly what the title indicates. We know a lot of each other on here through posts, profiles and chat. We often see each other posting in this very forum, but don't necessarily know what each other is taking. I hope this thread can be a positive one and by virtue of the fact that your on a med, your making an attempt at recovery and if you post here, I argue that you are showing openness and honesty.

I'll start and while a lot of regular posters know I am on Lexapro, not everyone knows the other meds I am on.

Lexapro was what I originally started and I went gradually from 5 to 10 to 15 to 20MG where I am settled now. I am ten months on Lexapro

Ive posted here on the next med I'm on enquiring how others fare. Im not sure there's many joining me, but I'm on Lyrica. I started at 25mg and thought I was having side effects, so stopped. I wasn't! Thus I tried it again and have increased in 25mg doses and am very settled on 600 MG a day now. 300 x 2 a day. I know some folk have terrible trouble here, but I've not a side effect in the world and am four months in.

The final med I'm on is probably unique here too. I've started a thread or two on the next med and see very few responding. The med isn't even available in the states. I am on Valdoxan at 25MG and can confirm that there are no side effects or discontinuation effect (I stopped for a few weeks!) The only bother here is the liver checks!

There you go. Lexapro. Lyrica. Valdoxan. I'm exposed again on a thread!

I hope others will join me in taking about their meds briefly.

Support and kindness to all readers

Adam

Hi Irish

I am not currently on any medication. I took Cipralex 20mg for just over a year which got me through some bad depression and the more acute anxiety.
Now I use a healthy lifestyle, exercise, yoga, chamomile tea and education about anxiety to get me through.

I still have some Ativan left for emergencies but I can happily say that I have not had one in many months.

I think meds help tremendously, and I have just reached a point where I no longer need them

Irishaman another exposure your name is Adam? My name is Mary Jo, now we are both exposed, lol  :action-smiley-065:

well most know me as the over my obsession of over analyzing I was on zoloft from 2003-Feb 2010 for PMDD I cold turkied no problems (although don't anyone else do this)  :angry-smiley-034: i went on ativan may 15th when anxiety got outta control didn't take it much but when I started other meds I was taking 1mg 3 times a day up.

I tried Celexa started at 20mgs to much for me and had to stop after 3 days (may have worked for me if I knew then to start slow)

I tried Cymbalta started at 20 mgs (was still on ativan 3x's a day to help) but when I reached 30 mgs had to stop (guess it wasn't for me) was on 11 days.

I did an immediate switch to Zoloft started slow am now on 75 mg goal is 100mgs but on Tues will move up to 87.5 mg so I am almost there  ;D

Have done a crossover to Clonazepam(klonopin) from ativan am now at 0.5mg 2 x's a day and I have one 1mg ativan that will be eliminated without a klonopin added, but I started on last Thur's eliminating the ativan cut it into 4's and am taking 3 pieces out of the 4 will try to eliminate another piece next week hopefully.

that's my meds so far

At the moment none, except for a low dose beta blocker I take for unrelated reasons and a daily baby aspirin.

constantmover:
I have been taking clonazepam (brand name in the U.S. is klonopin) for over 3 years...dose .5mg twice a day and I keep ativan .5mg sublingual with me at all times just in case of panic attack.  It works very quickly because it is sublingual.  I haven't had to use it very often as the clonazepam seems to do the trick.  Clonazepam is a dual purpose medication for me as it works for essential tremor as well as anxiety/panic.

Other medications and vitamin supplements are:

Enbrel for psoriatic arthritis and psoriasis taken once a week by injections.

Imodium taken as needed for IBS...generally can get away with once a week

Calcium Carbonate...500 taken just once a day now that there have been studies that say it isn't that great for osteoporosis, but it is good for those who have problems with IBS diarrhea predominant.  Some take it before every meal to help with this problem, I don't.

Vitamin D supplement

Multivitamin for women over 50

There you have it...
