Hi Mel,

Yes I do. Pain itself is actually to do with neuro-transmitters and is therefore more mental than physical.

Of course, things like lumps and nodes are physical, but pains, sensations and visionary symptoms can be in the mind.

Yes, it can. Psychosomatic illnesses are those which are caused by one being entirely convinced that they're experiencing a certain illness. People can also experience phantom pregnancies when under the belief that they are pregnant.

i didn't feel anything
maybe i didn't do it long enough or am just too preoccupied ...

anyway, the reason i ask this question is because i was stressing about my eyes, worried i would get another "spot" in them, and then a few days later i did ...
it's like i "willed" it to happen, even though i didn't want it to, of course

Yes, anxiety can cause almost any type of physical sensation you can dream up!  Stomach pains, headaches, heart symptoms, breathing difficulties, sweating, pins and needles, depersonalization and derealization.  The list goes on forever.  It truly is amazing what your mind can cause your body to feel.

Take care,
OE

if it happens for a short period of time, it can be anxiety.  a lot of people say when they get stressed or mad, or anxious they experience blurry vision for a short amount of time.  or as in my case my eyes are dry due to googling over 3,000 disorders in a matter of 1 week, so sometimes when i blink i guess my eyelid kind of gets stuck or something and causes blurriness for a second, until i reblink...which is normal...just like having a dry mouth with anxiety. even if someone  just got into a big argument, and their left eye goes blind afterwards for a month, it can still be attributed to anxiety.  there is something called conversion disorder.  so yes its possible.  plus, when you are anxious u might tend to notice more things because ur brain is working overtime, u might see things that arent there, or flashes in ur peripheral vision...however if you are just seeing halucinations constantly or you are seeing blind spots, blurry vision, and any other eye problem comes up, and it seems for no apparent reason and for an extended period of time, its probably best to check it out, because it could be a retinal detachement which is serious and needs to be treated on asap, but this is extremely rare

and in this case usually it would be 1 eye.  if u ever see things in both eyes it is usually either a brain thing, stress, or anxiety.  if you see problems in 1 eye, then i would check it out.  important symptoms of note would be loss of vision, blurry vision, loss of peripheral vision, loss of  cental vision, blind spots, seeing halos, an unusual increase of floaters, or seeing a gray veil covering the entire vision, like a cobweb effect
