*** Chat Room Moderator Positions Are Now Available - REVISED ***

Anxiety Zone is currently seeking 1-2 additional chat room Moderators to assist with the management of the chat room during the late-night/early morning hours (ie; between 1:00PM - 4:00PM U.S. Eastern Standard Time). You will also have the ability to moderate the forums, however, this is principally a chat room position. If you are a night owl or an early riser, then this might be a suitable position for you - regardless of what time zone you happen to live in.

Being a Moderator is an important responsibility that requires patience, maturity and people skills. Since Moderators represent the site itself, it is vitally important that they set a good example for other members and assist them when issues arise as well as keeping the chat room safe and free of spam, vulgar language, trolling, harassment and other inappropriate behavior and/or content. Being a Moderator is a volunteer position so thank you for considering!...

Moderators are appointed based on a number of criteria:

All types of Moderators should...

* Greet new members and make them feel welcome
* Possess good verbal/communication and people skills.
* Be fair, impartial, reasonable, measured, consistent and open-minded.
* Be professional and courteous at all times.
* Be active on the forums or chat rooms on a daily basis.
* Have a friendly, compassionate, supportive disposition.
* Be dependable, responsible and trustworthy.
* Be mature, level-headed and a "hands-on" type of person.
* Be ambitious, motivated and results-oriented.
* Be a good example/role model for other Anxiety Zone members
* Respect other member's privacy (this includes the privacy of any/all administrators, Moderators and members). Use the PM system to discuss sensitive information and only discuss it with the person entitled to know about it.
* Be willing to report spam, solicitations, diffuse problems (when they arise) and play an active role in YOUR community here.
* Be a "team player", willing to keep in touch and collaborate with staff and other Moderators here as the need arises.
* Let other Moderators know in advance if you are going to be absent for a few days.
* Have been an active member for 2 months or longer.

I am interested in a mod position. I possess the qualities you are looking for and I am almost always in the chat rooms. I have been told many times I should apply to be a moderator by people in the chatroom. I can be diplomatic and fair, and I am willing to diffuse problems if they arise. Please consider me for one of the mod positions, I know I would be great for it.

   I private messaged you yesterday about the chat moderator position. All though I live on the east coast I believe I would make a great moderator. I am up during the hours of 1-4 am and I usually come here to post or chat. I believe I have the communication skills to make people feel welcomed and to be impartial and mature. I am very open-minded and have a great sense of humor and know when it's o.k. to be a little bit silly at times and when to be serious and help others. I have been on this board around 10 months and I would love the opportunity to help out here.

I highly recommend Sickofbeingsick09 for moderatorship. She is always helpful and responsive! She's a great example in the chat room and has been present for a long while. She gets my vote! *thumbs up*

Would love to see Jane in the role. She is one amazing people person. If that makes sense. Has a great way with people. They listen to her and she listens to them. Understands them. And her advice is amazing when needed. She is always there to listen. I know she had the role once before. I know it didn't last long. But we all learn from those past times. What it is all about. What is expected of us. And I feel Jane has everything that is needed. Much loved person in the room. Don't know of anybody that dislikes her. Such is her balance when it comes to talking to people. Hence I used the words people person. Always great to new members. Making them feel at home straight away. And at ease to ask whatever questions they have come into the room to ask. Just the right sort of person. Fine balance in every way.

I would love to see Jane in Chat as a Mod.  She fits the position to a T and definitely has the people skills to pull it off.  She also has forum experience and obviously by looking at her RECs you can see she is well respected there as well.  To me it is a no brainer...she would be the perfect person for the job.

I would also recommend Jane, she is really good with people and everyone seems to like her, I also thought she was very good as a mod a few months ago. She's a really nice person, very helpful and fair and has a great sense of humour. Uktom
