I'm sorry for my repetitiveness, but I really feel like I need to vent.

I am STILL so so so stuck on/ convinced that I have a brain tumor, because I get nauseaues frequently. I'm trying not to let this control me/ effect me this badly [i've tried different things] but none of them have helped.

This is effecting my so much, I just feel like giving up on all hope /:

I wish I would go to the doctors, but since I'm not old enough to make my own appointment, any time I mention it to my parents, they flip out on me.

What if you went to the emergency room saying u had the most extreme headache you ever had.  and dizziness and nauseaus for the past 2 weeks, and you feel so dizzy u cant walk etc, make it seem like the end of the world,  they might do a c scan or an mri on the spot and when it comes back negative u will know u have no tumor

If you really can't get over this maybe it would be helpful to go to your doctors for some tests so they can prove to you that you are fine. I bet they can also give you some advice on OTC medication for your nausea

You say your not old enough to go to the drs on your own what about the school nurse???  Try talking to your parents and tell them how awful you feel.  How old are your and if your are female maybe it is pms my daughter gets terrible headache when her period is due and so do I.

Good luck and the best..

You know, im not an expert or anything but i have a feeling that those who actually do get tumors never even suspect it, it just happens.  they end up in the ER with extreme symptoms such as seizures or vomiting...and get tested and they find a tumor after months, or years, but ii do know that some tumors u dont feel many side effects and they can go unnoticed but something tells me that if you are really worried about a tumor, chances are, its not a tumor.  just like if you think you are going  crazy, youre not.

Thank you Pip and Vegas. I tried going to my school nurse before, multiple times. She was the one that just kind of gave me bad news, which put me in hysterics, which then turned out to be nothing at all.

Every time I bring it up to my parents, they ridicule me for how "ridiculous" it is, and get all angry and scream and me, then tell me to "snap out of it." Pshht, if only it were that easy.

Thanks X. I'll try to let that sink in. I have heard of stories like that. Of course I have my objections, but I'll try to let that sink in. /:

Awww i'm so sorry your parents do that. My mum does it too. What really helped me was whenever i started going to a psych after going to the guidance conselor. They sortof explain things to parents the first session (mine did anyways) about how their child isn't crazy and about how we're not being ridiculous and how incredibly real our fears are to us. Are you seeing a pysch or a counselor or anything?

Thanks pip, but its not your fault, so no need to be sorry. [:

I'm seeing a pysch, but for OCD, [[which I never really believed I had - I think I had some other weird unknown mental disorder]]

Now that that is over, [my "ocd" is better] she tried to help me with my Hypo, but she doesn't really help AT ALL.

Hi Stars,

The husband of a friend of mine has a benign brain tumour. It's scary but he somehow lives with it. However, it has caused him to have epilepsy on a fairly regular basis. I think it is in-operable too because of where it is.

The fact is nausea can be caused by so many reasons and it sounds like you have jumped on the worst reason, which I can understand.

If it were a brain tumour making you nauseus, you would also be having other symptoms as well.

Have you thought that it's maybe something you're eating regularly that's making you feel nauseus? Are you getting enough sleep as this can make you feel nauseus? Good old anxiety can too?

I would make a diary of what you eat for a couple of weeks.Just write down everything and also write down when you feel nauseus. You may find if you are detailed enough about it, that you find a pattern.

Diet places a huge part in the way we feel, and a few minor adjustments make the world of difference.

Just a thought.  Do you think since you can't talk to your parents about it you might feel isolated, which gives your thoughts more time to go crazy and boost up your anxiety?  I know at times when I don't have anyone to talk to things will snowball in my mind and become really exaggerated.  The nausea could be caused by excessive stomach acid due to the increased anxiety.  I was nauseous all the time and I didn't know which came first the nausea or the anxiety.  Now I take something for the acid and am much better all around.  Best wishes...I'm sure you'll be fine :happy0062:
