It's got to be cancer... of some sort

Just as I finally rid myself of the two and a half month long headache, hear we go again!  During my headaches I also had ear pressure but I assumed it was related to what was causing the headaches.  Well now the headaches are gone but the ear pressure remains, along with various throat issues.  My ears are always feeling clogged like I'm up in the mountains and my throat feels swollen.

To me it seems like a lump in my throat or something.  My glands in the throat are not swollen but the ache constantly.  I also still seem to think that there is a swollen spot, possibly a gland right on my jaw bone under the right ear.  I've had my doctor look at it three times and she says she can't feel anything out of the ordinary.  It's driving me crazy and I can't stop poking at it.

For the umpteenth time this summer I was at the doctor yesterday to get checked out.  She said the ear canal is free from infection or wax build up but said the inside of my nose is swollen even though my nose isn't stuffed up.  She diagnosed the problem as Eustachian Tube Dysfunction and gave me a Kenalog injection for seasonal allergies saying it could alleviate the whole problem.  As of yet though, no luck.

She never really explained what was causing the throat or gland pain other than perhaps allergies.  I can't help but suspect something more serious, perhaps even life threatening is going on.  I'm worried this could be Lymphoma (have been feeling run down lately), throat cancer or thyroid cancer.  It's now to the point where I can think of nothing else.  I didn't even feel like watching my Red Sox kick the hell out of the Yankees today. 

The nurse that came in to give me the shot said that all my symptoms are likely from one cause since everything in the head area is connected.  Perhaps so since from my neck down I feel absolutely fine.  But to me it feels like some sort of cancer, especially with the alleged swollen gland that the doctor can't seem to find.  She said if it was lymphoma or something of the sort the gland would be much larger but I have doubts.  Not all cases are the same. 

That's about it, I just needed to whine and vent a little.  Just another weekend that will go by without a single ounce of enjoyment.  Sometimes I wonder why I even care, this life is nothing enjoyable to me and is surely not worth worrying about.  What's the worst that can happen, I could die and go to hell?  I feel like I'm already there.
