MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.

Doing okay.

Had an anxiety spike on Tuesday (I got nausea out of nowhere just as I was starting work). I hate nausea and it took awhile to get over it. I was a little shaky for a couple hours before coming out of it.  Finished work fine and did well on Wednesday in what is a high tempo, somewhat stressful job (counting inventory at Lowe's).

Since then I've been okay to good. My baseline anxiety is a little higher than I would like but not so much it's severe. I still have ruminating thoughts about my condition. I worry about my worrying. I fear my fear. But that problem has been with me from the beginning, so I don't read anything into it.

I wonder if the lack of Klonopin caused my nausea? One thing that hasn't happended that always upset me was having a big emotional outburst (crying).

I rechecked with my pdoc and he affirmed that I was to go off Klonopin cold turkey.

What a thread. I never considered it would grow into the behemoth it's become.

i apologize for how hacked up and odd your thread became.  It DID go a bit off track.  This sort of thing doesn't usually happen here.

I'm glad you are doing okay.  hang tough chickie.

Hey mom12735,

The nausea could be from coming off the meds or it simply could be just plan everyday nausea.  The best thing you can do for yourself right now is keep thinking positive thoughts, eat well, and get your sleep.  If you continue to keep feeling and/or thinking positively, you have a better chance of getting through this very well.  Don't go looking for symptoms or side effects or you will find ones that weren't there to begin with.  Of course, be aware if there is something definitely wrong but don't let your mind trick you into feeling poorly when it is just fear of going off meds that is really doing it to you.  You are doing amazingly well.  Don't forget, we are here for you no matter what.  Keep the posts coming.  We certainly are interested in your progress.  I look forward to seeing your next post.  Don't forget, keep thinking positive thoughts...It really helps.

A wise post from the young lady above me.

I don't think the thread got necessarily "hacked as such" It showed a few different things and it showed we are all different.

To the OP, your off the klonopin, your off successfully. Forget it!

For real long term recovery, you must get past worrying about worry and having fear about fear. Therapy can be very effective. Can you make time for it in your busy schedule?

hacked up as in lots of unnecessary posts of silly congrats and best wishes to OP posts in order to have the last word. IDK what bonus' that entails.  But it definitely hacked up the thread.  This sort of thing is pointless and shouldn't happen.

I'm very interested in how you fare, poster mom.

My own experience coming off klonopin was pure and clean and straightforward.

My doc at the time said a good way to have no probs coming off one med was to start another! Now this is obviously only if part of the plan and not unnecessarily starting a med for the sake of it! Lets say your moving from x to y where x is a benzo, the addition of y can supersede any difficulty coming off x. Doesn't always work, but seemingly does work a treat at times.

hey mom

I think this thread has pretty much run its helpful course, especially since so much silly drama occured on it as well.  so I'm going to lock it now.  Obviously if you have any issues or just need a bit of reassurance, please let us know.
