Then I will also lose my medical which means I will lose my therapist and meds. My heart won't stop racing. What am I going to do???? What is everyone going to do in my position and others who can't even walk! And if we are forced to work sick and all theres no jobs!!! They can't let this happen!

same here....I am worrying that I will be homeless in the next 30 days.  The news showed this senate big whig saying they won't settle until Obama is out of office.   That's blackmail!  They aren't worried about us - the  people.  They need to work out a comprimise...not stand dumb and ignorant.

being homeless is one of my biggest fears....I already feel alone ....I don't need the despair.
Others say don't worry...they  will settle they always do.  I hope they are right.  But I can't help but worry.

I have a very hard time believing that will happen, but it is a hell of a scare tactic.

It's best to not worry about the things we can't control.  I know that isn't easy.

this is very hard not to worry about. And yes it does make it harder because we can't control it. I have PTSD also because of my childhood....I was homeless most of my childhood. This is going to cause me to have a breakdown.

Try not to get too wacked out about what you see in the news.  Or too far ahead of yourself.

I don't subscribe to TV for this reason....these events are frightening if we believe the worst case scenario will actually happen.

No one is going to be put out in the street.  Lets get real.  Lots of scary talk/opinions...that is all it is.

Changes may come....but when we look at this calmly....know there are thousands of citizens dependent on disability...or like me Medicare....and I really don't want to hear anything about that worrisome insurance program:).

My recommendation..since we cannot do anything about all this.  Put your mind on other things...please try to.

Slightly off the subject: I have a neighbor who lived on disability for years....became seriously ill...and after being in  and out of hospitals, is now well cared for in an assisted living facility...social worker who helped this happen told her 'We are not going to put you out on the street.'

MOST anxiety happens at the subconscious level.  JUST because you don't feel consciously anxious or had a day or two of calm doesn't mean your mind & body are relaxed.  It can take months of reduced anxiety before a body goes back to a more non-reactive state.

All you can do is take one day at a time. There are countless others in similar situations. Please be strong and of courage, even though it is most difficult. Spend each and every moment possible with your loved ones.

I would say please try and stop watching the news. It is a huge trigger for anxiety. I find it very hard to believe that Obama will stop disability benefits. You have to remember the government works as an entity, there are checks and balances. No one body can do anything without the other. I am sure what you heard was just a political plow to get the ball rolling on decisions. Lets try not to worry about things we can't control. Everything will be fine.

disability may change a little but by no means do I think it will be stopped, this is not the first time it has happened like clinton with welfare changes were made but it was not wiped out theres loop holes for alot of things I would really not worry and sometimes that just means community picks up on some things to balance the cuts if any,but I still really think it will all work out one way or another this is the first I am hearing of this as I dont watch or really read the news, because of anxiety, relax kryztle its gonna be okay, seriously drink some tea its politics.

Take deep breaths.

I don't think the disability thing will be stopped. It's usually the news and it's sensationalism of things. There's also a lot of politics going on, so it's pretty hard to know what is truth and what is not until it actually happens. I highly doubt it will be stopped. It does not benefit anyone if that were to happen.

People like us need to stop watching the news for a little bit.
