burning skin

Hello,
Does anyone get the sensation that there skin is burning but it feels cool to touch? I have this and no one will give me a dx of FM, I am so confused??

I have had and still do sometimes have burning skin up my back nape of neck hands and lower arms and yes it feels like it is deep inside so if I touch my skin or if anyone else does it's cool to the touch,thought it was meds but was told by my GP that it could be side effects of starting meds that heightens my anxiety so there guess is anxiety after they ruled out a potassium deficiency which can cause a burning skin feeling ask your doc about it ,it is a simple blood test and they also say low potassium can cause anxiety issues to am not sure if you are an anxiety sufferer but I think its worth a shot to talk to your doc about.

I can only add this, I am sure fibro is a real disorder, BUT,, and this is a big BUT, do not just assume that starting a antidep med is hte cause of the burning skin,, it could be a form of neuropathy that they havent found,, EMG studies will not find a small fiber neuropathy,, Fibro will not cause constant cold intolerance,, or pain that actually causes numbness and tinglling,,
