Sleep study
« on: July 07, 2011, 11:19:41 PM »
I had a sleep study done last week and they said that I don't stay in the REM cycle for more than 5 minutes at a time. I've dealt with extreme fatigue to the point of passing out at my desk in a sitting position at work for a very long time. I think my sleep issues started when I was in middle school. I'm 27 now. I have to go for another sleep study in a week and they are going to keep me for the night again and then keep me for day nap studies. They said it's some type of insomnia with a component of narcolepsy (sp?). Anybody else have anything like this? It drives me crazy. I can overdose myself on caffeine and still fall asleep. So frustrating.

I had a coworker who had something similar.  I think he was diagnosed with sleep apnea.  He got the mask thingy and has not been following asleep at work or at the wheel since.  Let us know how it goes after your next sleep study!  Hopefully you will have some answers then.

It's not what's happening to you now or what has happened in your past that determines who you become. Rather, it's your decisions about what to focus on, what things mean to you, and what you're going to do about them that will determine your ultimate destiny.
