Hi I'm new here to the anxiety zone. I've suffered from health anxiety for years and this time, I think it's "the big one". Not that I haven't thought that it was " the big one " 1,000,000 x before. I've recent been having GI symptoms over the last week or two ( severe nausea, fatigue, loss of appetite and some dull upper back pain ). I have been to the emergency room and 2 doctors. Initially I presented to my doctor because i believe that i had an episode of low bloodsugar after 2nights out of light drinking with friends. I told her that i was concerned with fatigue and my PC ordered blood work as I have a history of anemia and told me to take my blood sugars every 2 hours. I took it obsessively and it never went below 82 . I was still fatigued and called the doc and was told that it wasn't blood sugar. 3 days later I started shaking and thought I was going to pass out took sugar and It was 78. Ate some cookies, and called an ambulance. I was diagnosed with a panic attack and sent home. Began waking up with severe nausea and Fatigue went back to the er and was told it was a stomach virus and that all blood work came back negative. I waited a few days and kept experiencing severe nausea in the morning with no vomiting and light diareah. I saw a doc at my docs office because she wasn't available. He said it's under Ike gastritis and to take over counter Zantac. I did. It didn't help. Went back to the er and was referred to a GI . I'm so scared that I have pancreatic cancer or something horrible that is going to kill me.
It's exhausting. I ha vent had any extreme weightloss, I'm not jaundice just super nausea in the morning with fatigue and somedull ache around the mid back. My familythink I'm crazy and nobodywants To be around me. I feel alone and scared andnooneunderstands. Help!

My anxiety can really flare up and have many symptoms like yours. I don't get the back pains or nausea, and lack of appetite and how that all ties into ANXIETY but I have learned it does. If your Dr is saying hey, your OK, don't be surprised that these are anxiety symptoms. Try and get good night sleeps, if you can't, ask for some sleep meds.

That's half the battle. Recognizing or Finally admitting that I have health anxiety. I mean, i knowido, but at the same time, I don't believe it. He'll, I don't even believe my panic attacks are panic attacks. I need recovery. I see a therapist but imnot sure how to tackle this one. This is nothing new to me and youd think that after being dx with anxiety for over 15 years I'd finally get it.... If anyone has tips or help or recovery support please send it my way. I do appreciate your feedback tiger paw.

i get a lot of GI symptoms too lizzy...one thing i always tell myself is no matter how much it feels like it, i won't die...had a colonscopy last year but nothing was there...i'm searching for recovery too...it's been 11 years for me...i just had a test done and i usually have low blood sugar too!  i wonder if there is some connection-i have never heard of that before...it is good to hear it from someone else...maybe they should investigate a link between the two...hope your gi is a nice person...good luck
