Weird, weird stuff going on

Hi there,

I've been suffering from anxiety for a while now. The doctor has been very unhelpful and said to see if it passes.
I've been going through a rough time since November after a messy break up and losing most of my friends.

My anxiety has been getting worse. On holiday, I noticed I was uncomfortable speaking to strangers and even my close friends sometimes.
On the way home, I think I suffered a panic attack on the plane after I took a photo on the camera of my phone (yeah naughty naughty) and then I started to shake, sweat and suffered shortness of breath before my vision went blurred. Then I acted a bit out of character for the next hour, shouting at people and behaving as if I was drunk.

Now a day later, I have numbness in my forehead and feel spaced out.

Can anyone explain what is going on?

Hi Andy32!

It sounds like you are experiencing anxiety with panic attacks (like what happened on the plane.) If you dr is not being helpful, find a new dr. Let them know you believe you are experiencing anxiety and are looking for some help, either meds or a recommendation to a good therapist.

Once you have a bad attack some symptoms can linger for days as your body calms down inside.

what sort of meds can improve my condition? I dont want to take drugs that have terrible side effects. If I go to the doctors prepared with what sort of drugs could help, I think he'd maybe consider giving me them. I have a Bio Med degree so I know some of these drugs can maybe make my condition worse.
